EMBRACE THE MOONLIGHT
Brought back by popular demand…and nature!
Good Friday, April 3, 2015 7:00 pm
A MONTHLY, 1 HOUR EVENING STROLL IN OAK BAY
TO CELEBRATE SPRING BLOSSOMS IN TWILIGHT
We start and end at the Monterey Recreation Centre, 1442 Monterey.
We’ll have 2 routes at 2 paces (gentle or energetic, your choice), both featuring the spring wildflowers of Brighton Walkway and the Native Plant Garden Park.
Embrace the Night walks started on Valentine’s night just over a year ago. We grew from a modest dozen participants to as many as 70+ during the summer Super Moons.
For our third walk of the second year on Friday, April 3, 2015, we’ll start out early again, to catch the sight and fragrance of blossoms by twilight, while hoping to catch a beautiful moonrise and sunset along the way.
We will start our walk at 7:00 PM from the Monterey Recreation Centre.
This time, we’ll have two routes at two paces (gentle or energetic, your choice). Both will feature viewing of the many spring, native wildflowers (Fawn lilies, Shooting stars, Camas and Buttercup, etc.) along the Brighton Walkway and throughout the Native Plant Garden Park on Beach Drive. The energetic group will also enjoy the stunning views from Anderson Hill Park.
Come out and enjoy the beautiful green space and parks of Oak Bay, mixed with healthy exercise and meeting and talking with new friends. This is an age- and family-friendly event; everyone is welcome.
Starting Time and Location:
Friday, April 3 at 7:00 pm at the Monterey Recreation Centre, 1442 Monterey
Along the Brighton Walkway (Centennial Trail) to the Native Plant Garden Park and return

Finishing Time and Location: Back to our start about 8:00 pm.
