Updates

UVic has advised the District of Saanich of its decision to take additional time to further refine the Queenswood rezoning application. See the website update at www.queenswoodrezoning.ca.

Our Administrative Services Building is the fourth campus facility to achieve the gold-level standard in environmental design and sustainability.

Members of the community now have free access the research publications of UVic faculty, students and staff via http://dspace.library.uvic.ca.

Do you want to get in shape? The “no pressure” Bootcamp class will give you confidence and a total body conditioning workout- Wednesdays May 11 to June 29. Open to the community. See http://vikesrec.uvic.ca/programs/health-fitness.php.

Gold Medal Researcher

UVic’s Dr. Andreas Antoniou recently won the Craigdarroch Research Gold Medal for Career Achievement. His discoveries paved the way for the miniaturization of circuits that are now used in everyday devices such as your cell phone and high definition TV.

Did you know?

Over two thousand faculty, staff and students ride their bicycles daily to UVic. Stay tuned for the Bike to Work Week, which will take place this year from May 30 to June 5.
